SHANGHAI, July 6, 2012 -- Creating a nonwoven brand in China will be the topic of discussion at the second Nonwovens Industry Summit in Shanghai, China, next month.
China was a latecomer to the nonwoven industry but its rapid growth is well documented. After a decade’s development, the event organizer said the focus of many domestic companies is the acceleration of industrial upgrades and the elimination of backward production capacity. The development of high-end markets such as medical, automotive and hygiene are also offering more opportunities and challenges to nonwoven producers.
CBI says this year will be critical for China’s textile industry to implement a ‘framework to establish a textile power’. It says as the country holds the most potential in the textile industry, its transformation and upgrade is becoming an inevitable and embarrassing test for nonwoven companies. The event will discuss how China’s nonwoven industry can achieve a diversified, professional and high-performance transformation.
Speakers at the conference will include Yang Baoyu, general secretary of the Shanghai Yangtze River Delta Nonwovens Industry Association; Chen Zhongyi, general manager of the Taizhou Chenguang Synthetic Fibre Factory; Dr Sunil Mahajan, director of Reliance Industries; Chen Kangzhen, R&D manager at Nanhai Nanxin Nonwoven Co; Chi Bing, minister of Hangzhou Xinda Plastic Chemical Co; Chen Zaihua, vice president at Hubei Huanfu Plastic Products; Dai Wugian, general manager at Henan Piaoan High-Tech Stock; and Yuan Jianying, director at the Nonwovens Technology Development Centre of Textile Inudstry.
